Corporate magicians for hireacross the UK.
Watch a corporate event magician at work
This is what a corporate magician does in a room: no stage, no announcement, just a small group of guests who were talking about work thirty seconds ago and now aren’t.
Close-Up Chris, founder of the Collective, working a corporate drinks reception alongside one of the team.
What happens when you hire a magician for your corporate event
Corporate magicians work the room rather than a stage. They move between groups, or table to table, and perform for five or six people at a time, so every guest gets the magic at arm’s length. It suits any size of event, from forty people at a drinks reception to four hundred at an awards dinner, and one booking through the Collective covers as many magicians as the room needs.
Founded and hand-picked by Close-Up Chris, ranked #1 in the UK.
Drinks reception
The best slot on the night. Guests are standing, drinks in hand, and the magician is the thing that turns strangers into a group. Recommended for receptions of any size, and for the mingling hour before a conference dinner or VIP event.
Dinner
Table magic between courses. The magician visits each table while the meal is served, so nobody misses anything and the room stays lively through the gaps. Works from ten tables to forty with a team.
Awards night
The parts of an awards evening nobody plans for: arrivals, the wait before the first course, the lull between the last award and the band. A corporate magician fills all three without touching your running order.
Christmas party
A Christmas party magician for the office do, the client dinner or the whole-company night out. December books up early, so if you’re reading this in autumn, ask now.
Trade shows, conferences and product launches are covered too, see the questions further down.
The free bar gets them in the room. We get them talking.

What clients say about our corporate magicians
Corporate bookings from the last few years, as written on Google. The full set, 200 and more five-star reviews across Google, Freeindex and Facebook, sits behind the founder’s name.
Just wanted to thank you for entertaining our 70 guests at our Chairman’s Dinner drinks reception last week in Stratford-upon-Avon. The feedback was amazing, everyone loved it, everyone was talking about you!!Ladder AssociationChairman’s dinner, Google
We hired the magician for a corporate event in London last month and it was the best decision we made! He was funny, engaging and very memorable. We booked the magician for our corporate Christmas party and he was absolutely excellent. We were amazed at his talent and skill – especially some of the pickpocketing he was able to do under your very nose.GeorgieCorporate Christmas party, Google
The magician attended our work Summer Party and absolutely blew us away! Great energy and humour throughout the night, seemed to be enjoying himself just as much as we were. Professional set up, great communication in the run up to the event, and a highly skilled magician. A real bonus to have there and can recommend him 100%.OliviaCompany summer party, Google

Every magician in the Collective is booked on the same basis: if the founder wouldn’t put them in front of his own clients, you won’t meet them.
Corporate magician hire, questions answered
The things event managers ask before they book. Anything not covered, ask in the form below and you’ll get a straight answer.
How much does a corporate magician cost?
It depends on the date, the size of the room, how long you want the magic to run and how many magicians that takes, so we quote per event rather than off a rate card. Send the basics through the form below and you’ll get one figure that covers everything, with nothing added later.
Do you cover trade shows and conferences?
Yes. A trade show magician on your stand pulls people in and holds them there long enough for your team to start a conversation, which is the whole point of the stand. For conferences the usual slots are the arrival coffee, the lunch break and the drinks before dinner. Tell us which and we’ll match the right magician to it.
Is it a corporate magic show?
No stage, no microphone, no chairs facing the front. Close-up magic happens in your guests’ hands, a few people at a time, while the event carries on around it. It’s corporate entertainment that doesn’t stop the room, which is why it works alongside speeches, dinner service and a band rather than competing with them.
How many magicians do we need?
One magician comfortably covers up to around 100 guests over a drinks reception, or ten to twelve tables at dinner. Beyond that we add magicians so nobody feels they missed out, and it’s still one booking and one point of contact. Give us the guest numbers and we’ll tell you what the room needs.
Who will actually turn up on the night?
A magician from the Collective, hand-picked by the founder, Close-Up Chris, who only sends people he’d put in front of his own clients. Depending on the date that may well be him. Every magician carries public liability insurance and we can send the certificate to your venue in advance.
How far ahead should we book?
For most of the year, four to six weeks is comfortable and shorter notice is often fine. December is the exception: Christmas party dates go early, and the best magicians on the team are usually gone by October. If you have a date, ask now.
What does the magician need from the venue?
Nothing. No power, no PA, no space cleared and no change to your running order. The magician arrives before your guests, finds your event manager and gets on with it. All you do is let the venue know they’re coming.

Book a corporate magician.
Name a better icebreaker. We’ll wait. Tell us the date, the venue and roughly how many guests, and you’ll hear back fast with the right magicians for your room and one clear price.
